Grants and Contributions:
The Project will contribute to OECD horizontal activities where tourism is the focus, and provide expertise on tourism where there is a cross-cutting dimension. The Project will also maximize synergies and collaboration within the Centre for Entrepreneurship, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), Regions, and Cities. It will support the OECD global relations strategy, and contribute to work with G20 countries, United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) specialized Committees and other international organizations active in tourism. The expected outputs include a report on OECD Tourism Trends and Policies, a report on building a more resilient tourism economy in the post COVID-19 environment, and a report on supporting the transition to a green tourism economy.
2021/22 to 2022/23,
The purpose of the Program is to enable Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) to provide grants to share in the funding of specific projects undertaken by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). In this way, the Program will enable the Department to more fully participate in OECD projects and take better advantage of the potential to advance its objectives through its participation in OECD activities.
