This project is supported by a contribution of up to
$500,000,000. This project allows LG
Energy Solutions to build and operate
a 45 GWh lithium-ion electric vehicle
(EV) battery manufacturing plant in
Windsor, ON, which will enable the
production of up to 350,000 EVs/year.
Additionally, the facility may produce
batteries for energy storage systems
(ESS). The project’s work phase is
scheduled to end on September 30,
2028.
