Canada's Association to Horizon Europe

Program Purpose:

The purpose of this program is to secure greater access to Canadian researchers and innovators to seek funding under Pillar 2 of the EC administered Horizon Europe program. In practical terms, associate membership will offer Canadians the unique opportunity to explicitly lead international and interdisciplinary research consortia with EU partners comprising industry, academia, non-governmental organizations, and, notably, the potential end-users of project results. Horizon Europe?s unique approach to collaboration will enhance Canada?s ability to translate breakthrough research into products and services with real commercial value. Working with like minded partners through this initiative further represents an opportunity for Canada to strengthen one of its key geopolitical relationships.
