Grants and Contributions:
Promote Innovation and Collaboration: fostering innovation and collaboration by i) providing Canadian researchers and research/industry collaborations with access to compute; Support Canadian Technology and Innovation: creating opportunities to test and deploy Canadian hardware and software solutions with the potential to increase the efficiency and decrease the energy requirements of systems; Develop, Attract and Retain AI Talent: for building and designing compute systems, enabling AI innovation and creating a talent pipeline from research to industry; Leverage Canadian data: Enabling researchers and developers to build AI solutions that directly address Canadian needs and priorities and which can be then introduced to global markets; Secure Environments: protecting sensitive data that can be leveraged to create AI based applications in key sectors; Support Responsible AI Development: emphasizes safe and ethical AI development; and Secure Canada’s AI leadership: ensuring access to cutting-edge computing infrastructure which attracts more global AI investment to Canada, develops and recruits the best talent, and helps Canadian researchers and businesses compete and succeed on the world stage.
