Grants and Contributions:
· Support to GPAI work and experts and other projects needed to advance Canada?s GPAI priorities, including those intersecting with other fora (e.g., G7 workshop)
· Networking Activities, including coordination with GPAI members, expert community and Network of ESCs, hosting and participating in official meetings and activities, for ecosystem and partnership development;
· Knowledge Mobilization Activities, including outreach and engagement with Canadian and international expertise; and
· Operations and Maintenance, up to 15% of the total amount for day-to-day operations as they relate to the fulfilment of the terms of the contribution agreement.
2025/26 to 2026/27,
GPAI is an international multi-stakeholder initiative on AI that was founded in 2020 by Canada, France, and 13 other partner countries with the mission of promoting the responsible development and use of AI through practical projects, (e.g., reports on scaling responsible AI solutions and algorithmic transparency). At the the time of the creation of GPAI, Canada and France each launched ESCs to coordinate and support diverse groups of international experts who would work on the projects. CEIMIA is a non-profit organisation and Canada?s ESC dedicated to supporting GPAI.
