Grants and Contributions:
The collaboration is projected to contribute almost $178 million to Canada’s GDP over the next seven years and strengthen Canada’s position as a world-leading centre for innovation. The collaboration includes 18 industry and academic partners, several small and medium sized businesses, and nine Canadian universities across six provinces in Canada. Bell and its partners are investing more than $125 million in Canada’s aerospace industry through this project.
The amendment has been completed to extend the project from 2022-12-19 to 2024-03-29. This is a non-repayable contribution.
-foster the growth of a competitive, knowledge-based Canadian economy through the implementation of large scale technology demonstration projects stimulating a concentration of technology development in priority areas with significant potential for broad based and long-term economic benefits; and-become the basis for the next-generation of manufacturing, technical capabilities and services in Canada, and generate material economic benefits for Canada in the longer term.
