Grants and Contributions:
The investment will allow the company to verify the acceptability of its technology with respect to Canadian nuclear regulatory requirements, and Canadian codes and standards and support the first commercial deployments of its Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR®).
The amendment has been completed to extend the agreement end date from 2048-04-30 to 2049-04-30 and to reduce the contribution amount from $20M to $18.9M. This is a repayable contribution.
-Encourage R&D that will accelerate technology transfer and commercialization of innovative products, processes and services;-Facilitate the growth and expansion of firms in Canada;-Attract and retain large scale investments to Canada; and-Advance industrial research, development and technology demonstration through collaboration between academia, non-profit organizations and the private sector.
