Description:
The Town of High River is about a 30-minute drive south of Calgary and a 45-minute drive from Kananaskis Country. While the Town does not have an Active Transportation Network Plan, it does have a Parks and Trails Open Spaces Master Plan (P&TOSMP) that provides some guidance on where active transportation routes are desired, along with other ideas for expanding park use and environmental awareness. The High River Active Transportation Plan (ATP) would use the P&TOSMP as a starting point to help formalize this guidance and provide the Town with an implementation plan including timing of each project and associated costs for expanding the network.
