Agreement Value:
$7,232,530.00
Agreement Date:
Aug 14, 2026 - Mar 31, 2036
Description:
Over the next 10 years, the Town of Milton intends to invest their $7,232,530 allocation in the purchase of diesel and battery-electric buses, support vehicles, and fare payment technology systems. With a population of under 150,000, the Town of Milton is permitted to use Baseline Funding for the purchase diesel buses until at least March 31, 2031, under the current Zero-Emission by Default Policy. The Town of Milton will purchase diesel buses until 2030 before procuring only battery-electric vehicles. The Town has completed a feasibility study and zero-emission fleet transition plan. However, there is an immediate need for new buses to replace Milton’s aging fleet, but they do not yet have the supporting infrastructure, capacity, or investment to solely purchase electric vehicles in the immediate term. The Town’s ZEV study was completed in 2024.
