Description:

This project will support a 14 month pilot project that would involve the writing of 8-12 cultural history reports to determine the effectiveness of these reports in resolving disputes for families involved with the child welfare system. ALS will hire and train a Report Writer who will work with a working group composed of judges, counsel, ALS staff, Indigenous child welfare authorities, and the Office of the Children's Lawyer to develop best practice guidelines.
