Description:
The recipient, in support of Atikamekw Sipi families of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls will meet with families to identify their needs and will use an approach adapted to the Atikamekw culture. On-going moral and psychological support through their recovery, and information packages will be provided. A website which will serve as a source of information on available services, activities, news files and a monthly newsletter will be created. With the goal to reach as many families as possible, monthly activities will be held in the communities of Manawan, Opitciwan and Wemotaci but may also take place in cities where Atikamekw have migrated to, such as La Tuque, Joliette and Trois-Rivieres.
