Description:
Through the Community Youth Integration Project, the Calgary John Howard Society will test whether intensive system navigation and family support services contribute to reduce recidivism. The project will provide a coordinated and integrated system navigation process for youth who are being released from the Calgary Young offenders Centre and transitioning into community; providing transportation and connection to identified community resources in addition to education and employment. The project will also provide specialized programming for youth who may be struggling with complex mental health issues such as FASD, trauma and addictions.
