Description:
The Victim Services and Assistance for Families of Missing or Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Project will offer trauma-informed counselling and emotional, cultural and practical support to family members of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls in their own community. The project will offer a whole / family centered approach to families with complex needs and will focus on safety, self-care, mental health and physical wellbeing. The project will recognize the need for physical and emotional safety, by providing a safe space that is recognized by the community as a space for healing.
