Description:
The Manitoba Family Information Liaison Unit will continue to provide information and support to families of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Counselling and traditional healing opportunities will be made available to families to support them in their healing journey. Community Family Liaison Contacts (FLC), located in the Indigenous communities of Ka Ni Kanichihk in Winnipeg and Manitoba Keewatinowki Okimakanak (MKO) in Thompson, will address a service gap by assisting and supporting families and by bridging information sharing between families and the FLCs employed through Victim Services in Winnipeg.
