Description:
Newfoundland and Labrador will undertake several activities over five fiscal years to advance victim services and access to justice for victims, while giving victims a more effective voice in the criminal justice system in Newfoundland and Labrador. Planned activities include; enhanced services, assistance and programs available to victims, witnesses and their families; independent legal advice for victims of sexual assault; accessibility of services and victim participation in the justice system through the use of technology and other creative resources and activities and training that support the implementation of the Canadian Victims Bill of Rights.
