This pilot project will support clients who are undergoing separation or divorce, with a particular focus on victims of intimate partner violence going through the family justice system. This project aims to implement a model where triage officers screen for family violence and liaise with family judge lawyers regarding next steps and recommendations for court files involving family violence. Project activities will include reviewing and triaging court files, screening for family violence, providing referrals and navigation assistance, and making recommendations on next steps for court processes to family law judges.
