Description:
The Public Legal Information Association of NL (PLIAN) will hire a Legal Education Coordinator to develop plain language legal information materials on a range of legal topics, in collaboration with PLIAN's Access to Justice Coordinator for Labrador, Indigenous Governments, Indigenous organizations, legal stakeholders and community partner organizations in Labrador. PLIAN will also be contracting a roster of private practicing lawyers in the province to travel regularly to the communities of Nunatsiavut, to the Sheshatshiu Innu First Nation in Sheshatshiu, and to the Mushuau Innu First Nation in Natuashish to provide in-person summary legal advice and legal navigation to make access to justice more accessible in those communities.
