This multi-year regional project with Nishnawbe Aski Legal Services corporation will fund an educational based training initiative for criminal justice professionals. They will partner with an Indigenous artist to create a graphic novel and an animated video which will bring awareness and understanding of the root causes of Indigenous overrepresentation and Gladue principles in the criminal justice system and community-led options for addressing crime, including Indigenous and restorative justice programs.
