Description:
Systemic change informed by Gladue Principles to address Indigenous overrepresentation in the criminal justice system; The Justice and Solicitor General of Alberta is partnering with the Native Counseling Services of Alberta to deliver a multi-year education and training project. Partners will work together to develop training to be delivered through the Provincial government's existing training platform. This training will target mainstream justice partners, as well as additional specific training for specific justice professionals (e.g victim services), which will be identified through the needs assessment.
