Description:
Alberta Justice and Solicitor General Victim Services will continue to deliver the Family Information Liaison Unit (FILU) to provide coordinated information and assistance to families of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. The Alberta FILU will provide system navigation and will liaise with service providers to develop culturally safe and trauma-informed support plans to address families' needs. An Indigenous Elders Advisory group (HUGG), will continue to inform the FILU model to ensure that the services provided by the FILU are culturally safe, and trauma informed.
