This project will support leaders, policy makers and survivors to come together and discuss the need for a law in Canada similar to the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act in the United States. This follows work done by survivors, leaders and communities on the search and recovery of missing children and unmarked burials in Canada that has identified a need for legislative, regulatory and policy protections of former Indian Residential School sites.
