This project entails providing workshops during which relevant and easy to understand legal information will be provided in French to women survivors of human trafficking, to help them navigate the justice system and gain greater access to justice in the official language of their choice. This project also entails providing workshops to French speaking stakeholders of the legal and justice communities to increase their knowledge about the rights of survivors of human trafficking to gain access to justice in both official languages.

Program Purpose:
The Access to Justice in Both Official Languages Support Fund is designed to provide resources to facilitate access to justice in both official languages through various means, such as the creation of legal and linguistic tools, workshops and training to bilingual lawyers and stakeholders of the justice system, the development of related training material and the provision of public legal education and information. The activities and projects undertaken pursuant to the Support Fund are aligned with the Government commitments of encouraging the participation of all Canadians in linguistic duality, and in supporting official language minority communities.
