Description:
The Provincial Association of Residential and Community Agencies (PARCA) in British Columbia will host two conferences over two years entitled “Reclaiming Justice for Indigenous Youth” addressing Indigenous youth involved in the justice system. These conferences will be supported and facilitated in partnership with Indigenous organizations and involve a wide range of stakeholders such as community-based service providers, Indigenous-led organizations, government officials, etc. Through expert presentations and group discussions, attendees will develop recommendations to help Indigenous-led organizations and service providers in assuming greater responsibility and jurisdiction over the administration of youth justice services for Indigenous youth.
