Description:
The Women Warrior Workshops aims to empower Indigenous women and girls who are victims and survivors of crime by providing culturally safe, trauma-informed, victim-centered programming. The project addresses the unique needs of Indigenous victims by empowering them to use their voice and participate in the justice system, and by promoting their healing and recovery. The project will increase understanding of the justice process and system, and strengthen partnerships between Indigenous communities, justice agencies, and service providers to improve victim services.
