This project will conduct research on historical inherent principles of sovereignty and traditional laws related to justice of the nine Nations. It will allow research on how breaches of traditional laws, including criminal matters occurring within the Nations were dealt with. It will support research on how disputes were resolved in the family unit, with neighbours, and with other communities.
