This project will focus on revitalizing Inuit legal traditions by prioritizing research into historic and contemporary Inuit laws, traditional practices, and customary approaches to justice, of Inuit in Labrador, Inuit Nunangat, as well as that of other Indigenous groups in Canada. The project will support the development of a framework for Inuit laws within the Nunatsiavut Government self-governance structures and communities.
