Description:
The Family Information Liaison Unit will continue to provide a “one-stop information service” to families. The Family Information Liaison Unit will provide information to family members pertaining to a missing or murdered Indigenous person. The Ontario Family Information Liaison Unit workers are of Indigenous ancestry, knowledgeable, culturally competent, and responsive to the needs of the family members they serve. The Family Information Liaison Unit engages with key justice partners, including crown attorneys, provincial, municipal, and Indigenous police services, court offices and victim service agencies.
