The project aims to convey legal information to young Francophones of the province through information sessions in high schools. The organization will cover topics such as the Canadian Constitution, the organization of the judiciary in Canada, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, family law, labor law, inheritance law, obligations as a consumer and language rights. The information sessions, delivered in plain language, will aim to improve access to legal information in French and legal knowledge amongst Youth.

Program Purpose:

The Access to Justice in Both Official Languages Support Fund is designed to provide resources to facilitate access to justice in both official languages through various means, such as the creation of legal and linguistic tools, workshops and training to bilingual lawyers and stakeholders of the justice system, the development of related training material and the provision of public legal education and information. The activities and projects undertaken pursuant to the Support Fund are aligned with the Government commitments of encouraging the participation of all Canadians in linguistic duality, and in supporting official language minority communities.
