Description:
The Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General will create an online training module for the Criminal Law Division and program staff in the Victims and Vulnerable Persons Division on prosecuting hate crimes and effectively supporting the needs of victims of hate crimes. The training module will increase the skills of Crown prosecutors in recognizing and prosecuting hate crimes; enhance the ability of prosecutors to supports the needs of affected victims/communities; and, enhance the ability of victim/witness staff to understand the impacts of hate crime and to support the needs of victims.
