Description:
The Newfoundland (NFLD) Family Information Liaison Unit (FILU) will enhance service delivery to families of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP) and will continue to collaborate with Indigenous community resources to meet the diverse needs of family members served by the FILU. An additional resource will be hired to address the continuing increase in Indigenous families accessing FILU services. There will be virtual sessions with families to help families connect, provide support to each other and learn new coping strategies. The FILU will also host an annual Wellness Gathering for youth who have been impacted by MMIP.
