Description:
This project will pair culturally grounded restorative justice circles with a fast-access, trauma-informed clinical pathway for youth (aged 12–17 at time of offence) who are in contact with the youth justice system. This project will directly respond to the Youth Justice Fund’s priority activities, notably youth restorative justice programming and specialised supports for youth with complex mental health, trauma and addictions, and will advance the Fund’s objectives of improving rehabilitation and reintegration, expanding effective out-of-court measures, and increasing community-based responses to less serious offending.
