Description:
The organization will provide culturally appropriate support and western based counseling to assist families of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls with long term needs associated with the Inquiry process. Needs include dealing with grief, trauma and guilt following the loss of a family member and parenting children of missing or murdered persons. The organization will host family gatherings, provide cultural supports, assist in the development of a network to assist families of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, and will collaborate with the Saskatchewan Family Information Liaison Unit to ensure that the Unit has a strong working relationship with families
