Nova Scotia's Department of Justice will establish a Family Information Liaison Unit (FILU) within Victim Services until March 31, 2020. The FILU will provide a one-stop information service for families of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls to access information about the loss of their loved one. The FILU staff will gather requested information and share it with families in a culturally safe and trauma-informed manner.
