Description:
Nunavut will establish a Family Information Liaison Unit (FILU) which will be staffed by a Family Information and Support Coordinator. The Coordinator will gather and share requested information with family members of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls about their loved ones from various government agencies and will also oversee the development and administration of a short-term Cultural Support Fund. The Coordinator will arrange for culturally safe and responsive supports to be available to travel to provide services to family members in remote communities.
