Description:
Prince Edward Island Victim Services will develop and establish a Family Information Liaison Unit (FILU) to provide a centralized, coordinated mechanism for family members of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls to access requested information related to the loss of their loved one. An Aboriginal Support Coordinator will work closely with the FILU to facilitate culturally safe and trauma-informed assistance to families through the Cultural Support Fund, referrals and outreach.
