Description:
Coming Full Circle will provide off-reserve justice involved Indigenous youth with individual case planning using a wrap-around approach to identify cultural and land-based traditional teachings that youth can use and apply to their everyday lives, as well as, group sessions to build a sense of community and connection to each other, their Elders and their traditional teachings. Through semi-weekly Medicine Wheel teachings, Indigenous youth will learn to develop the traditional and cultural tools to raise awareness of self, others and community in a safe environment and to develop a deeper sense of purpose and connection in order to live a balanced, traditional and healthier lifestyle thus reducing the likelihood of recidivism.
