Over the next five fiscal years, Alberta will enhance victim services and promote access to justice for victims and survivors of crime by: enhancing online training provided to victim serving stakeholders; identifying gaps in services available to victims of domestic violence in the City of Edmonton, with a view toward establishing a collaborative and coordinated response to domestic violence; and undertaking various activities to support the implementation of the Canadian Victims Bill of Rights, including the development of a restitution program, complaints mechanism and further distribution of testimonial aids for victims of crime.
