Description:
The organization will implement a pilot project in British Columbia to support the mental health of jurors. In partnership with the Court Services Branch of the government of British Columbia, the project will develop and implement a mental health and wellness training to address jury needs and experiences in court. BC Sheriffs and court staff will receive the trauma-informed training to be able to identify and address urgent needs and also manage issues that may arise during the trial experience. The organization will also pilot a peer support program that will offer former jurors post-trial supports.
