Description:
Over the next two fiscal years, the Department of Justice of Quebec will improve the services offered to child victims of crime through supporting the opening of a Child Advocacy Centre in Montérégie and exploring outcomes and impacts of an integrated cross-sectoral service program for abused children and their families and the development of leading practices. Other activities will include building cultural awareness through Indigenous-led training for CAVAC staff and ensuring respect for the rights of victims of the Canadian Victims Bill of Rights by exercising victims' rights when the accused is found unfit to stand trial or not criminally responsible on account of a mental disorder.
