Description:
Pacific Association of First Nations Women will provide culturally responsive, trauma informed community-based services for families of the missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver. They will provide counseling, traditional healing practices and ceremonies led by Indigenous therapists, traditional healers and wisdom keepers. Their services to the families will include cultural teachings and information workshop sessions, family gatherings, healing circles, support groups, referrals to/from the Family Information Liaison Unit of British Columbia and the development of an Indigenous Women's Council.
