Description:
The organization will provide a Gladue Program for Indigenous women and girls involved in the justice system who are victims and survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. The program will draw from the voices and expertise of Indigenous women and girls with lived experience of being trafficked and sexually exploited to provide culturally grounded and holistic trauma-informed supports and services in support of their healing, ability to foster family reunification and access to safe housing. The organization will also develop and deliver specialized training for law enforcement, governments, lawyers and community-led organizations to better understand the needs of trafficked and sexually exploited Indigenous women and girls involved in the justice system.
