Description:
This project will advance the establishment of Mi'kmaw tribunals to support the administration of Mi’kmaq law primarily in relation to harvesting rights and support efforts to enforce Mi’kmaq law including child welfare, fisheries, Indian Act by-laws and restorative justice/customary law. The project will develop community education tools, development of a Mi’kmaw Justice Action Plan and community engagement to build processes and structures for by-laws and community laws and on the development of Mi’kmaw tribunals.
