Similar to Impact of Race Culture Assessments, Black LGBTQ Justice Affirming Assessment Reports incorporate sexual orientation, gender identity, and other intersectional considerations into reports that supports Black LGBTQ individuals’ interactions with the criminal justice system. The project proposes to offer training and certification in Black LGBTQ Justice Affirming Assessment Reports, accredited through the Law Society of Ontario. The project curriculum will include four modules covering theory, historical considerations, practical applications, and other relevant content. The project will deliver a total of three training sessions in Vancouver, Halifax, and Montreal.
