Grants and Contributions:
To establish standards for digitization, archival preservation of originals and digital files, and dissemination that will provide a frame of reference for this and all future projects.
To develop greater expertise and experience in digitization and preservation of digital files on storage units.
To increase the visibility of the organization and, above all, to offer quality archival material that can be consulted by the general public and researchers.
To identify and use "open source" tools for metadata extraction (tika, jhove, Droid), for digital fingerprinting (Gava), for manuscript viewer (openseadragon, pdf.js, Mirador) in order to minimize dependencies on closed commercial logistics systems.
To promote to the general public as well as to a specialized public composed of universities and research centers in linguistics through a dissemination portal. One of the main measures to determine the number of visitors or users is the implementation of statistical software on the portal offered by the web host. In addition, research requests by e-mail or other means (telephone, mail) resulting from the consultation will be taken into account. These requests will be recorded in the annual register and an annual report of our activities will be produced to meet the requirements of our private archive center accredited by Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec.
