Description:
The project aims at the targeted digitization of historical documents of the Council of the Huron-Wendat Nation, including institutional archives as well as archives of private origin. Digitisation will make it possible to preserve and preserve old and rare documents using digital media. The project will also make available to a greater number of people historical documents that are regularly requested, such as old photographic collections, documents related to reserve maps and plans, lands, etc. The project also makes it possible to involve young Huron-Wendat people in digitization work.

Expected Results:
In the short term, the objective of the project is to make the documents more accessible to the organization's members, approximately 100 people, who will be able to use this data directly for their work. In the long term, the Council of the Huron-Wendat Nation wishes to publicize their archives, digitize them and raise public awareness of them so that they have greater visibility in the community.
