Description:
The Council of Archives New Brunswick (CANB), in partnership with the Association of Heritage New Brunswick, will host a Roundtable that focuses on how the public (non-archival professionals) use documentary heritage materials. By studying this practice, the Roundtable aims to help heritage organizations better promote their holdings. The organization will include participants representing the Acadian community and host the event in both official languages, with simultaneous translation as required. In addition, CANB will record the event and share it on YouTube and the CANB website.

Expected Results:
The Council of Archives of New Brunswick anticipates that 15 to 25 people will attend the Roundtable. In the short term, the organization anticipates that documentary heritage professionals in New Brunswick will engage with users to understand more how their holdings are used. In the long-term, these documentary heritage professionals will consider how their holdings are used and find ways to better promote them to the public.
