Description:
The project aims to develop an Internet platform for image research accessible to the general public. The images and data from 23 of the Historical Society's archival holdings will be transferred to new data management and image search software. The descriptions will then be checked, corrected and completed before the new platform is put online. From the 1890s to the 1980s, these images show the region's built heritage, families, personalities, associations, politics and municipal affairs, sport and education.

Expected Results:

This project will facilitate research, increase the accessibility of archives to the public and preserve its documents through the transcription, indexing, revision and online publication of the organization's database. In addition, the project aims to increase the number of consultations of the archives of the Société d'histoire de la Haute-Yamaska during its dissemination.
