Description:
The Société historique du Saguenay wants to import the digital finding aids of the archival holdings previously processed in its ARCHI-LOG archival management software. The project therefore consists of importing a large amount of data into ARCHI-LOG, but also validating and adjusting the description of the documents to comply with the Rules for the Description of Archival Documents and the requirements of the software specialized in archival management. Methods for preserving analogue and digital documents will also be validated and corrected if they do not meet archival standards.

Expected Results:

The objective of this project is to improve the treatment, conservation and preservation of its archives, as well as to facilitate the research and development of archival collections. In addition, it aims to strengthen and centralize the digitization of archival data and increase its accessibility to the public. Finally, the organization aims to increase public awareness and visibility of the archives, as well as a better knowledge of the archival holdings.
