Description:
The Mouillepied Historical Society owns the archival fonds bequeathed by Royal Canadian Legion Branch 68 in St. Lambert since it closed in 2017. The Fonds includes administrative documents and information records on branch activities, photos, slides, VHS tapes, CDs and newspapers from 1940 to 2017. The Mouillepied Historical Society wishes to make this fonds accessible to St. Lambert residents, communities where the Royal Canadian Legion is active and the community of researchers in this field. It also wishes to enhance the preservation of some unique pieces that have become fragile, such as films, publications and slides.

Expected Results:

The expected results at the end of the project are as follows:
- The Mouillepied Historical Society’s second largest fonds will be processed and preserved;
- The contribution of St. Lambert Legion members to the two wars and St. Lambert community will be highlighted;
- These data will be accessible in French and English by various sub-groups across Quebec and Canada: St. Lambert schools and colleges, Legion members across Quebec and Canada, archival communities in Quebec and Canada and Canadian historians and researchers.
