Description:
The project involves the processing of the Rita-Chevron 2 fonds. The organization plans to document, catalogue and digitize 5,600 negatives from the photographic fonds of photojournalist Rita Chevron, who worked as a still photographer for Radio-Canada Rimouski (CJBR) and Le Progrès du Golfe newspaper for over 35 years. In addition to preserving these records, the organization wishes to foster access to its archival collection, promoted through research, outreach and exhibition activities. In addition to expanding the database, the project will facilitate access to photographic archives in the Musée régional de Rimouski collection.

Expected Results:
The short-term results are to ensure the conservation of these documents, facilitate access to its archival collection and develop its database. The project will make it easier to access the photographic archives of the Musée régional de Rimouski. In the long term, the organization aims to protect and conserve for future generations a corpus of 5,600 photographic documents about the Lower Saint Lawrence and the collective identity of the area.
